Steuben Back in Business
Many collectors mourned the demise of Steuben glass in 2011 when the company closed after 108 years of operation. The factory in Corning, NY, shut down and the New York City flagship store closed. But today, Steuben is back, making the same high quality glass objects as before. It is owned once again by Corning Incorporated and managed by the Corning Museum of Glass. Sales of Steuben objects are made through the museum store. You can visit the "new" Steuben at www.steuben.com. A full story about Steuben's resurrection will appear in the January AACG newsletter, which all AACG members receive. Click here to become an AACG member and receive our quarterly newsletter.
