AACG Virtual Programs
In 2020, when the world shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, AACG initiated a series of virtual programs that are now part of the organization's regular educational outreach to both its members and the public at large. A large majority of our membership love AACG's virtual programming and feel it offers an important value for members.
- First Friday Fired Up! Once a month, on the first Friday, at 1 p.m. Eastern time, AACG presents a Fired Up! program, free and open to the public. We are committed to community outreach and education, and continue to provide a means for educational outreach through our FIRED UP! series. Fired Up! recordings are posted on the AACG YouTube Channel following their broadcast.
- Friday MeetUps. All other Fridays (barring holiday weekends) at 1 p.m. Eastern time, unless otherwise noted, AACG presents its MeetUp program which is for members only. We really value our members and want to make sure they are getting something of value in return for their paid membership. As we roll out new programming this year, we hope there will be something interesting for everyone on our exclusive, members only, educational channel on glass art! For members who are unable to attend the Friday MeetUps in person, each Saturday following a MeetUp a link to a private viewing area of AACG's YouTube Channel will be sent so members will have the opportunity to watch the program at their conveinence.
AACG MeetUps and First Friday Fired Up! programs have provided a new way to learn about artists in depth, visit museum exhibitions, and see gallery exhibitions at locations across the country, and beyond. AACG has had presentations from artists in Denmark, the UK, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Australia - our Zooms are not bound by international borders, and we’ve been able to bring our members more programming than ever before. These AACG programs are designed to engage as many people as possible with current events in the world of contemporary glass art.
