About Anna Alsina Bardagi
Anna Alsina Bardagi’s sculptures explore the unique properties of crystal clear, eco-optical glass. She is driven by the purity of this material and its capacity to create optical illusions that alter the viewer’s perception of reality. Each piece takes several months to complete and involves experimental techniques to gain control of the internal forms in the glass.
Anna was born in Madrid, Spain, and grew up in a creative environment surrounded by nature in the scenic village of Begur by the Mediterranean sea. She studied communications and journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and worked as a reporter and science communications executive before pursuing her creative endeavors.
Driven by a desire to connect with the natural world and the universe, Anna creates art that reflects the delicate balance between strength and fragility. Her creations often feature fluid lines, intricate details, and a harmonious interplay of transparency and optical reflections.
Her artworks have been exhibited in galleries, museums, and art institutions around the world, including the United States, Andorra, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, and Japan, among others. Anna’s artistic creations can be found in private collections in the United States and Europe.
