Born in Prague, Dana Zámečníková is a glass artist and architect who became internationally renowned in the 1980s as a result of her spatial paintings. They are characterised by an exceptional ability to capture the emotions and moods of moments, the almost magical appeal of narratives conveyed not literally but comprehensibly nevertheless, and the sovereignty of art. She does not simply create objects; she composes unique poems in glass, which set her apart from all others.
