Artist Wayne Strattman transforms electricity into light through the mediums of blown glass, rare gases, and custom built electronics. Internally illuminated with plasma, his sculptures synthesize art, science, and invention.
Wayne Strattman is a Boston-based artist and engineer who currently holds the world's only dual discipline PhDs in the "Neon Arts." During the 35 years of his career as a glass and plasma sculptor he has published 120 technical articles and two textbooks on neon and plasma. Strattman has also developed plasma related patents and licensed products, worked as a long time consultant with Corning on lighted products, created the longest running lighted glass art show with the Glass Art Society as well as endowed their annual lecture called "Critical Dialogue" to help provide needed prospective to glass artists. Wayne's work resides in museums around the world and he travels extensively teaching classes.
