Solo exhibition of cast works by Gilles Payette.
Gilles Payette is a sculptor who has predominantly worked with the sand casting technique for almost 30 years. The artist mixes various materials with his sand casted glass works such as copper, glass beads, steel, aluminum and neon. In his work process of transforming glass into a vector of weightlessness, Gilles has created a dialogue on concavity, the hidden, and what is not readily perceived at first glance. He encourages inquiry and the courage to be free through the communication of ideas, and feelings.
