The Glass Art Society will celebrate its 50th anniversary, the International Year of Glass, and the 60th anniversary of the Studio Glass Movement at its conference in south Puget Sound, with everything that Tacoma’s thriving glass community has to offer. The conference will explore the past 50 years of glass and discuss what the next 50 years holds for making, collecting, and educating. GAS will also be celebrating the intersectional nature of the glass community and how those intersections make it so special. The conference will include glass demonstrations, lectures, lecmos (lecture/demonstrations), panel discussions, networking opportunities, special events, and more.
