Speakers from the glass art world include Dedo von Kerssenbrock-Krosigk, Director of the Glasmuseum Hentrich, Museum Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf, Germany; Kimiake Higuchi, artist, Japan; Andy McConnell, journalist, UK; and Ian Freestone, Professor of Archaeological Materials and Technologies, University College London, London, UK. The program will include a guided tour of the glass collections of the Museum Ariana (offering also a preview of a temporary glass exhibition) on the morning of the 11th. The Swiss glass art association Verarte and Fondazione Berengo will show glass sculptures both in the UN Palace and at the nearby Intercontinental Hotel.
