Glass Art Society Names Director

The Board of Directors of the Glass Art Society (GAS) has named Brandi P. Clark as its new Executive Director after a national search. Clark has been serving as the Interim Executive Director of GAS since July 2018, and prior to that, she served numerous other arts organizations in executive director and senior leadership roles.

“I am so thrilled to be stepping into the role of Executive Director for the Glass Art Society! GAS plays a vital role in the international glass community, and that has impressed me for years. As the organization approaches its 50th anniversary, we are excited to be exploring new ways to expand our reach, offer members more opportunities both locally and internationally, and create new and innovative programs that will introduce the public to our glass community.” states Clark.

"As we approach the 50th anniversary of GAS, it is incredibly important to find the right leadership to help steward our organization into the future and that person is Brandi Clark. She comes to us with a wealth of experience in not-for-profit arts management, events planning and the American Studio Glass movement," said Natali Rodrigues, President of the Glass Art Society Board of Directors and Associate Professor at the Alberta College of Art and Design. “Brandi is also an incredibly joyful and collaborative person. I really look forward to working with her in the upcoming year and see her positive impact on our organization.”

Clark is a native of Texas where she attended Texas A&M University. She has dedicated most of her career to non-profit administration working for arts organizations including the Houston Symphony, Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, Fifth Avenue Theater and the Pratt Fine Arts Center. Most recently, she was the executive director of the Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds, Washington.
