A series of sculptures and reliefs that tell universal stories of creation, life, and death.
Lene Bødker occupies the oldest part of the museum with her exhibition. With Stories to Be Told, Bødker opens the door to a mythical universe, where deep, universal human narratives rise from personal experiences, philosophical thoughts and metaphysical realizations. Nature-inspired works blend with fabulating and symbol-laden sculptures that connect us with the great tales of creation, life and death. The most important story for Lene Bødker is that man is deeply connected to the energies of nature; we are nature. This awareness runs as a basic narrative throughout the exhibition, which contains a large selection of Lene Bødker's more recent works as well as a group of completely new sculptures that have not been shown before.
