The Alcorcon Museum of Contemporary Glass Art presents a solo exhibition of work by Joaquin Torres Esteban (1919-1988), who was the pioneer in Spain of sculptural laminated glass and the first Spanish sculptor to attend the international meetings of the Studio Glass Movement. Inspired by other American and European sculptors of the 70s and 80s, Joaquín Torres used simple sheets of green industrial glass, which gave different shapes through cold cuts, to later stack them in a vertical or horizontal position.
