MacNeil and Tagliapietra Receive 2011 Master of the Medium Awards
On March 27, Linda MacNeil and Lino Tagliapietra were among five artists who received national recognition as winners of the 2011 Master of the Medium award, which is presented every other year by the James Renwick Alliance, a nonprofit affiliated with the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C. Linda was selected as a master in the metal/jewelry category, and Lino was selected in the glass category. Other winners included Jun Kaneko for ceramics, John Eric Riis for fiber/tapestry, and Gary Knox Bennett for wood.
