What We Fund
The mission of the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass (AACG) is to further the development and appreciation of art made from glass. The AACG awards Support Grants consistent with this mission. Grants are made to arts organizations in support of specific educational purpose, with preference for grants in which the focus is education of the public (as opposed to education of artists, curators, etc.). Typically, grants support exhibitions, catalogs, brochures, videos, curatorial stipends, and residencies for visiting artists. Information for prospective grant applicants may be found on the Grant Application Guidelines page.
Since 1991 when AACG first awarded grants, the organization has made more than $602,000 in grants. Thanks to all of our members for their support and membership, which makes the AACG Grant program possible.
2012 Project
The AACG is undertaking a project to support and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the U.S. studio glass movement in 2012. Starting with the first grants cycle in 2011 and continuing through 2012, the AACG will be focusing its grants exclusively in support of museums and other arts organizations that will be participating in the anniversary celebration. Please see the grant guidelines for more information and deadlines.
