Artwork Donations Needed for Benefit Auction
Announcing a call for 12 or 13 sculptural glass objects by well known western artists donated either by the artist or a gallery for the May 12 Rago design auction. in collaboration with the Art Alliance of Contemporary Glass, this initiative is to raise $50,000 to help Ukraine's Lviv University rebuild its glass studio with an electric furnace and kilns, to become less reliant on Russian energy, more sustainable, and to continue teaching through the war and beyond. All proceeds go to the Lviv University glass hotshop.
Three photos from different angles of the work should be emailed by April 6 to Emilie Sims at esims@wright20.com. The costs of shipment from the artist or gallery to the buyer will be paid by the buyer. Official donation certificates will be provided by Rago for each donation.
