AACG Annual Member Trip: 2017 in Seattle & Tacoma
AACG 2017 Annual Member Trip:
Seattle/Tacoma, Washington, and Kickoff of AACG's 30th Anniversary Celebration, September 13-17, 2017

The trip begins with an early evening event on Wednesday, September 13, and ends around 10 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, after a dinner at the Tacoma Museum of Art.

Trip will include:

  • Private tours of the Chihuly Boathouse and Ballard Studio
  • A private tour of, and dinner at, Chihuly Garden + Glass
  • A private tour of the Pilchuck Glass School campus
  • A cocktail reception hosted by Traver Gallery
  • Tour of the Museum of Glass including the grand opening of the exhibition Complementary Contrast: The Glass and Steel Sculptures of Albert Paley, and the exhibition Linda MacNeil: Jewels of Glass. Then continuing with an evening at the "Red Hot Gala."
  • Tour of the Hauberg collection and Chihuly collection at the Tacoma Museum of Art
  • Visits to artists' studios and private home collections with beautiful views of the ocean and Puget Sound
  • ...and more

Hotel Reservations:

3 nights in Seattle at The Fairmont Olympic (Wed-Fri); 2 nights in Tacoma at the Hotel Murano (Sat & Sun). Extensions on either side are available at the same pricing.

$1,300 per person.

Registration is a two part process:
A. Register with AACG:
      Either register online or to register by mail, click here.

B. Register with both hotels: 

  • To register at the Fairmount Olympic in Seattle, click here.
  • To register at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, click here

(YOU MUST REGISTER AT BOTH HOTELS NOW OR YOU ARE NOT CONSIDERED REGISTERED ON THE TRIP.)

 

Cancellation Policy:

For the 2017 Seattle/Tacoma Trip, the following cancellation schedule will be in effect:

  • Cancellations made before April 30, 2017 will be fully refunded less a $400 administrative fee per person.
  • Cancellations made between May 1 and June 30, 2017 will receive a 50% refund, less a $400 administrative fee, per person.
  • No refunds will be made after July 1, 2017 unless the trip has a wait list and we are able to transfer your active reservation to another AACG member on the wait list.  A $200 per person administrative handling fee will be deducted from your refund. 
  • Refunds will normally be made by check and sent via USPS mail.
  • The cancellation and administrative fee deductions will be treated as a donation to AACG.  AACG will provide you a contribution letter in January of 2018, which can then be used for tax purposes.
