Notes for the eventThe Crucible will host a two-day symposium and exhibition commemorating and celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the Studio Glass Movement through a program of ten lecturees and live demos, with a large comprehensive exhibition of California glass art in the event space featuring artists from the 1960s to the current era. Keynotes are Suellen Fowler, Marvin Lipofsky, Richard Marquis, and Susan Stinsmuehlen-Amend. Saturday, November 10 and Sunday Novovember 11, 10 a.m. -.6 p.m: Demonstrations, panels, lectures, and an exhibition. Saturday November 10: Reception and awards ceremony honoring California artists and collectors including Dorothy Saxe. |
