UrbanGlass to Move During Renovation
UrbanGlass is relocating to an interim space during the renovation of its home in the historic Strand Theater. The renovation is in partnership with the City of New York and the Borough of Brooklyn, part of the city’s multi-million dollar investment in realizing the full potential of the historic Strand Theater. The project will include converting the third floor of the building into an ultra-modern comprehensive glassmaking facility and expansion on the first floor with a street-level gallery and retail space. As of June 1, UrbanGlass' offices will be temporarily located at 126 13th St., Brooklyn, NY 11215. The office will be closed May 9 - 30. Beginning September 1, studios for coldworking, flameworking and kilnforming will be available for rental and classes at the interim location.
