Shanghai Glass Museum Now Open
A new glass museum has opened in Shanghai, China, with the theme “Glass is a language of science and art.” The Shanghai Glass Museum incorporates multimedia, interactive exhibits, pictures and actual examples to make up four components:
- What is Glass? The science of glass that will touch on its physical structure and characteristics.
- Technology Development. Shows how glass has been used throughout history.
- Daily Life to Cutting Edge: Glass in daily life, science and technology, showing how glass is used in different industries today.
- Glass in art throughout the ages.
The museum also has an active hot shop and viewing area for visitors that will also give artists a resource to do their work.
