In Memoriam: Jean Sosin
Jean Sosin, an AACG founding member and life member of the AACG board, has passed away at the age of 87. Jean, with her husband Hilbert, were among the attendees of an ad hoc committee that met on August 22, 1987, in Clifton, New Jersey, at which the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass was created. They made their home in the Detroit area and were early collectors of contemporary glass art, although in recent years Jean lived outside of Chicago. She kept involved in the contemporary glass world until her health made it impossible. Jean will be missed by all those who had the opportunity to know and learn from her.
