Holly Hotchner Resigns as MAD Museum Executive Director
Holly Hotchner, executive director of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City for the past 16 years, announced her resignation as director effective April 30. She was an integral part of the museum's move to its new Columbus Circle building, participated in the creation and presentation of extraordinary shows and exhibitions, enhanced the educational outreach programming, and tripled the size of the museum's permanent collections. The museum has hired David Gordon as interim director. Previously Gordon was a Director (“Secretary”) of the Royal Academy of Arts in London for many years and then spent many years as Director and CEO of the Milwaukee Art Museum.
